American Rapper, Offset, was rushed to the hospital after been shot outside of a casino in Florida on Monday.
The incident happened around 7pm at the valet area of the Seminole Hard Rock hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Emergency services arrived quickly at the scene. The rapper and former member of the Migos, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was rushed to the Memorial Regional Hospital.
After the incident, police have come out describing the injuries sustained by the Atlanta rapper has non-life-threating, they further stated that two suspects have been detained in connection with the shooting. Though the names of the suspects were not mentioned.
His team also confirmed that he was indeed shot but further disclosed that he was stable and closely monitored by medical personnels.
The casino stayed open after the incident with authorities stating that they were no danger to the public.
The Migos, who were a group of three rappers, Offset, Quavo and Takeoff, are one of the most influential rappers to come out of Atlanta. With hit songs like Bad and Boujee, Versace, and many others which topped the US charts. The group eventually divided after Takeoff was fatally shot outside a bowling alley in Houston in November 2022. The loss led to the end of the group. Offset spoke openly about how hard the death of Takeoff hit him.
Monday shooting is still under investigation. Fans across social media upon hearing of the incident are expressing relief that he survived but await more information of what really led to the shooting.
