Popular US Streamer Kai Cenat Visits Lagos for Second Time

Popular American streamer and internet personality, Kai Cenat, arrived at Lagos, Nigeria for the second time on Wednesday, renewing public interest in his plan to build a school for disadvantaged children.

Kai Cenat arrived at the Murtala Muhammed Airport on Wednesday, where he was welcomed with music, dancing and celebration. His arrival has caused a lot of buzz online with fans sharing videos and photos of this arrival on social media.

On his first visit, which was a year ago, he announced the school project for children in the Makoko community which is still ongoing. The streamer has pledged millions for the funding of the the project, but the project was slowed due to land ownership related issues and the government’s approvals to build at the waterfront area.

As a result, the school location was moved to Yaba, which offers better infrastructure. Despite the challenges, Kai has assured that children from Makoko will be enrolled and will receive free education once the school is completed.

Kai Cenat had previously revealed during one of his livestreams that over one million dollars had been raised already. According to him, the money will be spent gradually to ensure the school is properly built and can operate sustainably for the long term.

His return has excited a lot of his Nigerian fans, who believe that his presence could push the project forward. At the same time, some online users are clearer timelines and visible construction work.

His visits also come at a time when Nigeria is attracting more global content creator. Recently another US Streamer, IShowSpeed, visited Lagos, which grew massive attention and support from fans and local creators.

With the streamer now back in the country, many Nigerians are watching to see if this visit will lead to further progress on the school project he promised.
