The Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) has just announced the start of the Easter Holiday break for both students and staff.
This announcement was made public to the university in a statement from the Office of Registrar which was dated March 30. According to the notice, the vacation will begin after the school activities officially close on Thursday, April 2, 2026.
The Registrar, Ambrose G. Ugwu, stated that the university will pause all academic activities for students and staff, allowing them to celebrate Easter.
“This is to inform all staff and students of the university that the university will vacate for Easter holidays after close of work on Thursday, 2nd April 2026,” the statement read.
She also stated that all the normal activities including lectures of the second semester will all begin on Monday, April 13, 2026.
“Normal activities will resume on Monday, 13th April 2026 including commencement of lectures for the second semester 2025/2026 Academic Sessions,” the Registrar added
The university also highlighted that all staff on essential duties will not be affected by the break, which simply means that they are to continue with their duties during the holiday period.
The statement concluded wishing the university community a peaceful Easter celebration “Best of wishes and happy Easter,” the statement concluded.
Students at Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) are now expected to take note of the resumption date and prepare to resume academic activities in April.
