Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) has announced the 2025/2026 second semester resumption date for students and lecturers.
The information which was released to the university communities in an internal memorandum by the Registrar, Ambrose G. Ugwu, on the 14th of April 2026, stated that the second semester began on the 13th of April 2026.
“This is to inform the University Community that academic activities for the Second Semester 2025/2026 academic session commenced on Monday, the 13th day of April 2026,” the statement read.
The Registrar also urged students and lecturers to resume the second semester on the given date, so that certain exercises which are mainly done before the start of examination are completed early.
“Lecturers and students are hereby expected to commence their academic activities to ensure that Continuous Assessment Exercises which constitute part of the second semester examination are administered in time.”
The statement further directed lecturers to begin lectures and academic activities immediately
“All academic staffs are by this communication, directed to commence effective teaching and other academic activities.”
Dates at which the 2025/2026 second semester examination begins and the end of the second semester academic activities were also stated in the memo.
“The Second Semester Examination comes up on 20th July 2026 while School will close for 2025/2026 academic session on the 10th of August 2026.”
Students are yet to have resumed completely as school environments are met with few numbers of students around the campus.
