Nigeria will play against Mozambique in the Round of 16 of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nation (AFCON)
The matchup and other Round of 16 fixtures was confirmed after the conclusion of matchday three fixtures on Wednesday night.
The Nigeria versus Mozambique will be played in Fez, setting the stage for a crucial test as both countries continue their quest for continental success at AFCON 2025.
The Round of 16 fixtures of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations are scheduled to run from January 3 to January 6, 2026, across several cities in Morocco. The winners of these ties will advance to the quarter-finals, which are slated for January 9 and 10.
Teams that have qualified for the knockout stage include hosts Morocco, Mali, Egypt, South Africa, Nigeria, Tunisia, Tanzania, Senegal, DR Congo, Benin, Algeria, Burkina Faso, Sudan, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, and Mozambique.
Nigeria booked their place in the last 16 after finishing top of Group C with a perfect record, winning all three group matches with their latest been the 3-1 win against Uganda.
